Teacher of Dance Job Advert
Thank you for your interest in the Teacher of Dance Job at Echo. The deadline for this application is Sunday 15th May. Interviews will take place the week of the 16th May to start on the 11th June . Please see the job description below.
We are looking for a Dance teacher who will have the privilege of working with our wonderful, talented and very enthusiastic Echoes delivering engaging, fun lessons that will develop the children’s techniques.
The job is for a specialist dance teacher to teach on a Saturday morning, Thursday afterschool club and Thursday evening term time only, with the view to add more hours through workshops in schools.
It would be ideal for applicants to have experience in other genres within the arts.
The job role includes teaching children from ages 5 to 12. We are looking for someone to plan and deliver lessons that develop the children in the areas below:
- Plan engaging lessons that demonstrate the children’s progress overtime
- Prepare children for shows and performances
- Support with planning of the term
- Take part in holiday camps ran by Echo Performing Arts Academy
- Teach a mixture of dance styles
- Improve the children’s confidence
- Develop the children’s technique
